The Government has selected the agency that will set up an Ethanol production plant at the Bhoramdeo Sugar Mill in Chhattisgarh’s Kawardha district.
The distillery will be set up on Public Private Partnership (PPP) model and Chhattisgarh’s Cooperative Department has selected the Chhattisgarh Distilleries Ltd - the highest bidder - to set up the plant, a press release said on Tuesday.
“Adhering to the tender rules and after evaluating the quotations made by the parties, the Chhattisgarh Cooperative Department has awarded the work of installing distillery to Chhattisgarh Distilleries Ltd,” it said.
The department had earlier sanctioned the installation work of ethanol power plants of 40 KLPD in premises of the Bhoramdeo Sugar Mill.
Chhattisgarh Distilleries made a bid of Rs 5.27 crores per unit per year. The department found the bid was highest and the work was sanctioned to the company.
